Hair Curler Tip: Making the Pigtail

Posted by Emily Kenison on

Ever struggled with pigtail wraps using your RobeCurls Curling Headband? No worries – I've got your back. In this video, I'll show you two techniques to nail those wraps like a pro. If you can tie your shoes, you're already overqualified for this. Let's dive in!

But first, forget clips – they're a no-go. Opt for the pigtail method instead. Clips slide and mess up your curls' security. Now, let's uncover the secrets of the perfect pigtail wrap.

First up, the easy way. Fold the headband, then fold one length again. Slip it on, crease on the right if you're a righty. Left hand on top, about an inch from your hairline. Grab hair on your right, pull towards your face, wrap the end around for a secure pigtail. Easy, right?

For the advanced technique, fold the headband again, wire forward. Righty's left hand or lefty's right hand on top. Grab hair near your neck's nape, sweep around, wrap tightly.

Remember, tops of fingers glide by your jawline. Pull hair towards your face and over the headband – not backward. Snugness is key, even if some hair's out. Short or layered hair? No problem – secure where you can.
